Severe weather has left around 210,000 people in Michigan without electricity, with DTE Energy reporting over 203,000 outages, Consumers Energy reporting over 2,300 outages, and Great Lakes Energy reporting around 4,600 outages. Counties such as Clare, Isabella, Kent, and Midland have been hit the hardest with significant power outages. Utility companies are working to restore power by Wednesday or early Thursday morning. DTE Energy is bringing in 800 additional line workers to assist with restoration efforts. While there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Wednesday, no severe weather is expected. The National Weather Service predicts a high temperature near 79 degrees with a low in the low 60s. Residents are advised to stay updated on the situation and take necessary precautions during this time of power outages.
