Maxx Crosby, Raiders defensive end, appointed as assistant GM for Eastern Michigan football program.

Maxx Crosby, the fourth-round draft pick by the Las Vegas Raiders and one of the NFL’s top pass rushers, has been named the assistant general manager for Eastern Michigan University’s football program. At 27, Crosby will assist with evaluating prospects, managing the program’s NIL and revenue share budget, and work on fundraising and alumni relations as a special assistant to the athletic director. Crosby, who credits EMU for his development, will also match donations to the football program up to $100,000. Additionally, EMU has renamed the weakside defensive end position to “MAXX” and assigned Crosby’s jersey No. 92 to the team’s top pass rusher in his honor.

The move makes Crosby the first active NFL player to hold such a position at a college program, following a trend of professional athletes taking on roles in college athletics. Crosby’s $106.5 million contract extension with the Raiders, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, has not stopped him from staying connected with his alma mater. Crosby’s commitment to developing future players at EMU has been lauded by the university and the community. His dedication to nurturing talent and giving back to the program that helped shape his career showcases his gratitude and commitment to the betterment of football at Eastern Michigan University.
