Eastern Loses to Miami as Henry Scores 25 Points


The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team lost 89-80 to Miami University in a tough battle on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Despite Christian Henry’s impressive 25-point performance, the Eagles were unable to overcome Miami’s strong lead. Trey Pettigrew scored Eastern’s first four points, but Miami went on a run to take a commanding lead at halftime. The RedHawks continued their dominance in the second half, building a 21-point lead before Eastern Michigan launched a comeback attempt. Although the Eagles cut the deficit to eight points multiple times, Miami ultimately sealed the win.

Despite the loss, Eastern Michigan showed promising performances from players like Arne Osojnik, Jalen Terry, and Dillon Tingler. Henry led the team with 25 points and six assists, moving into the MAC lead in scoring average during conference play. The Eagles also extended their streak of consecutive games with a made three-pointer to 633 games.
