Residents in Birmingham are complaining about Pink Kamala Harris political yard signs

Birmingham resident Nikki Sapiro Vinckier faced opposition from an anonymous neighbor when she displayed multiple campaign signs supporting Kamala Harris for president in her front yard. The neighbor claimed that city ordinances only allowed for one sign, but city officials confirmed that she was allowed to have as many signs as she wanted until the election. In response to the neighbor’s interference, Sapiro Vinckier ordered over 7,000 signs featuring Harris’ campaign, with some being distributed to swing states.

Sapiro Vinckier set up tables in Birmingham’s Adams Park, offering the signs for donations of any amount, and received overwhelming support despite the rainy weather. The signs feature symbols for reproductive rights and a quote about trusting women, reflecting Sapiro Vinckier’s values as an OB-GYN physician assistant. She aimed to start a conversation about politics in a lighthearted manner rather than being confrontational.

In a positive gesture, Sapiro Vinckier left a note for the anonymous neighbor, thanking them for their concern but warning them not to put anything else in her mailbox. Meanwhile, Republican volunteers in Oakland County plan to distribute yard signs and merchandise supporting President Trump at the upcoming Arts, Beats, & Eats festival in Royal Oak.

For those interested in getting involved in the political conversation through yard signs, both sides of the spectrum are actively promoting their candidates and causes in the Michigan area.
