U.S. Sen. JD Vance, the running mate of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, visited Michigan to address key economic issues just 70 days before the November election. Speaking at a farm in Green Township, Vance criticized the Biden-Harris administration, focusing on high gas prices, housing costs, and inflation. The event drew Michigan GOP politicians and highlighted criticism of the Gotion battery plant, a controversial $2.36 billion project in the area.

Despite sweltering heat, nearly 2,000 attendees showed up to Vance’s rally, demonstrating strong enthusiasm for Trump’s campaign. Vance also criticized Harris for needing big name artists to draw crowds to her rallies. The event was nearly interrupted by severe thunderstorms but ended just before the heavy rain hit the area.
Vance’s visit to Michigan highlighted key economic issues and criticisms of Democratic policies, as well as personal stories and comparisons to the Biden-Harris campaign. The event showcased the enthusiasm of Trump supporters in the battleground state leading up to the presidential election.
