Message from AD Alan Haller to the Community

Michigan State Athletics is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 athletic year, filled with anticipation and hope. Last year was a success with six Big Ten titles and high academic performance. The fall season has already begun with women’s soccer winning against Notre Dame and field hockey, volleyball, cross-country, and football starting their seasons this Friday. Changes in college athletics are being addressed by the department, with a focus on providing a top-notch student-athlete experience. The upcoming season will celebrate the rich history of Michigan State Athletics, including the anniversaries of several national championship teams. The 1965 and 1966 football teams will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and former coach Mark Dantonio will be honored. The Spartan community is united through shared moments and memories, both past and present. Coach Jonathan Smith is ready to lead the Spartans into a new era with a team that exemplifies hard work, unity, and focus. While the outcome of the season is uncertain, it is clear that this team will make everyone proud. Michigan State Athletics is committed to providing a transformative experience for student-athletes and uniting the community in celebrating the green and white.
