Connor Stalions breaks silence on Central Michigan sideline photos in debut Netflix documentary

In the Netflix documentary “Untold,” Connor Stalions addressed allegations that he appeared in disguise on the Central Michigan sideline during a game at Michigan State last year. The documentary shows Stalions holding up a picture of the figure in question and denying any resemblance. He also stated in an NCAA interview that he did not recall attending the game.

The documentary also includes claims from Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy, a Michigan graduate, who says Stalions told him it was indeed him on the sideline. ESPN reported that the NCAA’s draft notice of allegations against Michigan determined the person in the pictures was Stalions.

Central Michigan released a statement acknowledging the inferences made in the documentary and confirmed that they have been cooperating with the NCAA’s investigation into the matter. NCAA bylaws prevent CMU from publicly commenting further at this time.

Michigan State declined to comment on the documentary’s contents, citing the ongoing investigation. Stalions and Central Michigan quarterbacks coach Jake Kostner, who also previously worked at Michigan, have been under scrutiny.

Team personnel being on the sideline of an unrelated game violates NCAA rules on in-person scouting. Stalions’ presence on the CMU sideline during the game at Michigan State has raised questions and concerns among officials and has prompted a thorough investigation. The situation remains unresolved as the NCAA continues to gather information and work towards a fair and prompt conclusion.
