Previewing the 2024 Football Matchup: Michigan State Spartans

Purdue faces tough road challenges to close out the regular season as they haven’t had to do since 2003. They must win at least one of the two games against Michigan State and Indiana to secure a spot in a bowl game. The last trip to Michigan State in 2018 resulted in a loss, but the Boilermakers have a recent history of upsets with their victory over a top 5 team in 2021. Michigan State, following two losing seasons and a coaching change, is in a period of transition which could make this game a toss-up. The matchup against Michigan State will test Purdue’s ability to compete against a struggling but formidable opponent. As the season comes to a close, Purdue will be looking to end on a high note with a win on the road against Michigan State.
