Despite feeling like she has had to vote against things rather than for a candidate she genuinely supports in previous elections, Olvera stated that she will still vote for the Democratic representative, whether it’s Biden or someone else.
During the event, potential Biden replacement Kamala Harris focused on reproductive health care, warning of potential attacks on abortion rights if Trump wins a second term. She criticized Trump’s running mate JD Vance, who has a hardline stance on abortions, opposing them for any reason except to save the life of the mother. Harris emphasized the importance of the upcoming election in protecting reproductive rights, calling out Trump for his inconsistent stance on a national abortion ban.
Harris did not address questions about the president’s age or mental fitness during her remarks, choosing instead to focus on the critical issues facing the country. The event, held at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum, drew attention to the significance of the upcoming presidential election and the potential impact on issues such as abortion rights.
