Mike Heslin, known for his appearances in TV shows like “Lioness,” died from an unexpected cardiac event after a weeklong battle in the hospital, according to his husband, Scotty Dynamo, who shared the news on Instagram. Heslin, described as brilliant, selfless, and a real-life guardian angel, was remembered by Dynamo as a loving and caring person who brought out the best in everyone. The couple, who married in 2023, were in the early stages of starting a family, with plans to name their son after Heslin.
Dynamo also mentioned that Heslin was an organ donor and had given the gift of life to four different families after his death. Actor Kimiko Glenn, a longtime friend of Heslin’s, shared a tribute on Instagram, expressing her grief over the loss of her constant and comfort.
Aside from his acting career, Heslin was also a director, producer, and writer, graduating from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and co-founding Well-Versed Entertainment production house. He appeared in various TV shows and created his own series, such as “The Influencers.” Heslin’s most recent roles were in the Paramount+ series “Lioness” and Lifetime’s “The Holiday Proposal Plan” in 2023. Despite his untimely death, Heslin’s legacy as a talented actor and a loving individual lives on in the memories of those who knew him.
