In northern Kentucky, a shooting early Saturday left five people dead, including the suspect, and three others injured. The incident occurred at a residence in Florence around 3 a.m., prompting multiple calls to the police about an active shooter. Four victims were pronounced dead at the scene, all of whom were adults. The suspect, also an adult male, fled the scene in a car before eventually driving into a ditch and inflicting a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Florence Police Department confirmed that the suspect acted alone, and there is no further threat to the public. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the response to the incident.
